It's been awhile, hasn't it?

Good news:
My collarbone is officially healed! I can go back to lifting heavy things and moving normally! The scar is still kind of red and swollen, but it's healing nicely.

I have been sharpening my drawing skills, and the creative juices are flowing. I've started a website and plan on "professionally" photographing my work. And, due to sheer boredom, I have made myself about a thousand different business cards, so if anyone knows where I can get them printed cheaply, let me know please!

I have been reading A LOT. And from a surprisingly varied bunch of authors. I'm normally a strict fantasy or sci-fi type of reader, but I've discovered historical fiction and satire. So yay.

Bad news:
I have literally, no money. Luckily, I can start working again, but I still have to wait however many weeks just to get a paycheck. Losing all of that tuition/rent/utilities money has been super hard, so my apologies if you don't get a birthday/christmas/whatever present from me this year. I'm still figuring out what I can pawn off on ebay to get some extra cash. Maybe it's time for a major doujinshi sale, considering I have about 50 of them that I haven't touched since I've been back from Japan.

All of my friends are in class. And I am still bored.

TAGGED.

Mon Sep 7, 2009, 12:40 PM
I was tagged by :iconfirewolf826:

:bulletred: RULES :bulletred:
1. Publish these rules in your journal
2. Each tagged person will write 8 things about themselves in their journals.
3. At the end you will choose 8 people who will be tagged and publish their icons.
4. Go to their page and send a message to let them know they've been tagged.
5. Don't tag the person who has tagged you

Random Things About Me...
1. I love eating. It's good that I have a high metabolism, or else I would be like 289753 pounds. My favorite food of all time is this chicken dish my mom makes with rice, those french fried onion things, and cream of mushroom soup. It is delicious.

2. I despise exercising. I do it mostly because I feel guilty, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

3. I'm an only child. And yes, I did get all of the toys, love, and attention.

4. I love traveling, and would love to do more of it. So far, the only 2 other countries I have been to have been Japan and Canada, and Canada barely counts. My dream is to visit England, Korea, Germany, and Greece before I kick the bucket.

5. I am really good at procrastination. My roommate and I often talk about how to market it. "Procrastination - try it today!"

6. I ski. Pretty well. Sometimes I break bones. But I never let that stop me.

7. I fucking despise twilight with the power of a thousand suns. My kind of vampires do not sparkle, cannot go out in the sunlight, are allergic to garlic, sleep in coffins or some sort of hidey-hole, and drink blood from/kill people. Thank you very much.

8. I buy a lot of useless things. I should really stop that.

I'm not going to tag anyone, mostly because everyone has done this already, but also because no one actually reads my journals anyway. =]

Stuff and things.

(No one got the kiriban. Boo.)

So Otakon was fun, yet tiring. I loved my cosplays this year!! It was awesome being the Warden and Kanda, not to mention how amazing it was to be cosplaying with everyone!

And so, next year, it is planned(?) that :iconsometimescake: and I will be.....
Xanxus and Squalo from KHR (respectively) !!!
Also, :iconminiejungie: will be Belphegor !!
What is it with me and super long, annoying wigs?

I've only got 2 more weeks of my playground job, so hopefully I can get around to posting all of my prints from last semester, my costumes, and also to make some things that have been on the brain for awhile before I leave for the fall. I'm also going to take photos of all of Hannah's amazing plushies that she's made me.

Oh, and HP was AMAZERING.
Ron totally cockblocked.

School Things and Kiriban

Mon Apr 13, 2009, 5:38 PM
So it's official, I'm taking Bio at KU this summer.
Great fun, 4 days a week, dissections, yes yes.

Anywho, if anyone cares/remembers, I'm going to have a kiriban at 1,888 (because it is quite the snazzy year.) The prize will be any print that I have posted currently (which I realize aren't that many), as well as any of the ones I am going to post within the next week, packaged and shipped at no cost/given to you if you happen to go to Tyler. The only ones not for giving are my jellyfish woodcut, as I only have one of them and I can't print the block again, as well as my gigantic photo lithography with the angel, as it would be just too large and expensive to ship (I'm poor, remember?). The print will be editioned, titled, and signed, so when I become an incredibly famous printmaker, you will have an original Alison.
So do what you do and try to get that shit. It's probably printed on $5/sheet Rives BFK.
